    Description

    For your consideration is a vintage medallion or paperweight
    that was produced to commemorate the
    100th Anniversary of the B & O (Baltimore and Ohio) railroad.
    From research, I believe only 7,500 of these were produced.
    The front of the medallion says "safety strength speed one hundred years."
    The back of the medallion has an image of Peter Cooper's Tom Thumb
    along with the name of the railroad.
    It is 2 3/4 inches across and weighs 136 grams.
    During his lifetime, my grandfather, who passed away 25 years ago, collected everything railroad related.
    This medallion or paperweight was part of his collection. It has been carefully stored away for many decades
    but now it's time to find it a new home.
