This kit should be enough product to properly prepare and coat up to a 22' Boat, RV or Small Motorhome...A 1/2 gallon of CostaCoat Wipe-On Clear Coat (totalling 6 coats recommended), should cover about 150 square feet of area.
Just wipe CostaCoat Wipe-On Clear Coat, there is NO need to rub or buff, usually by the third coat a shine will begin to develop and by your sixth coat you will have a high gloss, deep shine!  A drying time of only 10 to 15 minutes is required between coats (depending on temperature and humidity).

Wipe-On Clear Coat so different?
A: CostaCoat Wipe On Clear Coat is not just an ordinary clear coat…To start with our clear coat was formulated for ease of application and to be wipe-on hand applied, rather than sprayed.
Our clear coat is
not
permanent, it is a semi-permanent finish…This means that it’s been formulated so that it can be easily removed, with our remover, that has been formulated to remove our clear coat without damage to the base gel coat or painted surface (when used as directed).
Our clear coat is a low VOC waterborne formula, that is fortified with proprietary polymers that will assist in protection, extend the life of your base substrate and most of all provide a brilliant shine, without buffing.
Our clear coat provides a semipermeable thin film that will allow the base finish or substrate to breathe a bit, which aids in evacuation of water penetration.
CostaCoat
Wipe-On Clear Coat Sealer & Protectant, will provide an ultra-high gloss after and lasting protection, without rubbing or buffing.
Once your surface has been properly cleaned, simply wipe on four to six initial coats of CostaCoat Protectant, allowing it to dry between each coat. Once six to eight coats have been applied, you will have lasting protection and shine…At least once per season or every six to eight months, you will need to clean (washing only with Dawn dish soap and water, rinse well) the surface and apply an additional two to three coats…When maintained properly, this product should not require removal.
Should you ever need to remove our clear coat, we have a remover/stripper that will remove our finish (and when done as directed, should not damage to your original base substrate or finish.

Preparation is the key to our system.
You will need to get the surface you are applying CostaCoat to very clean, as any dirt will be encapsulated behind the clear coat, once it’s applied.
The way your surface looks when it’s wiped with a damp towel is the color you will get once CostaCoat Protectant has been applied.
In your preparation there is no need to buff or try to make your surface shine…You will simply treat your original surface as a basecoat for color and CostaCoat Protectant as a Clear Coat.

CostaCoat Protectant High Gloss Sealer Protectant is a thin film polymer system.  The first couple coats will penetrate and adhere to the base substrate, filling in micro pitting and erosion, that has caused degradation from the elements and UV (also known as oxidation).  Once the base substrate has been filled, which will take one to three coats, the additional coats will begin to build a smooth, thin, even protecctive film...This will aid in protection, increase film thinkness, adding depth and shine.
