    Description

    Radio appears to work.  I had to replace a capacitor in order to get it to work.  I applied a 400kc carrier signal, modulated with a 1kc tone, to the antenna.  I observed a proper 1kc sine wave at the headphone jack.  I do not have a speaker or phones around to audibly test the radio.  As the photos show the circuitry is in very good condition.   This is the
    only
    testing performed;
    I cannot guarantee performance with an actual air signal.
    The photo does not show the replaced capacitor.  When you get the radio you will notice a bright yellow cap amidst the vintage ones.
    I could not find a paper capacitor to maintain the vintage look underneath.
    Sorry, no returns or refunds on this one.

    Notes
    Aircraft "Range Receiver" BC-1206, 195 - 400 kHz, not a direction finder but indicating if the aircraft was within range of a specific beacon or other station. 24 - 28V DC used for both heaters and anode voltage, very compact design for use in small aircraft.
    Carlson apparently also marketed the same radio under model number "524" for civil aviation.
