Vintage 1948 Philco Radio Model 48-460 "Hippo" Now Bluetooth Speaker

This is a 1948 Philco radio model 48-460 "Hippo". I usually look for classic deco radios that do not work looking for Bluetooth candidates. Recently bought from a collector a number of case only units. Even though this classic had no guts but the plastic sweeping dial was still attached, nice find. The ivory painted bakelite was chipped with a few small cracks that required attention. After the repairs sanded, primed and painted this beauty its original ivory color again.  Now it looks great again. Love the  gold color wrap around dial. Great contrast. Added 2 bakelite knobs painted brown to finish off the look. On the inside, I installed a mini 50 watt Bluetooth amp and a big 5" multi range speaker. Yes this is a real boombox now. You control the on/off/volume with right knob. The other is fixed. Check out the pics to see. it looks pretty good for 70+ years old. I also include a new electrical cord. The 1948 Philco radio measures a small 12" x 8" x 7" . I really like the way this old original classic came back to life. This is what classic looks like.
