Vintage Deco 1941 Truetone Model D-2210 Now A Bluetooth Speaker

This is a 1941 Truetone radio model D-2210 made for Western Auto. This Truetone has a metal case and was painted to look like wood. It is not rare but unusual. I think it has some very nice lines. Sorry to say this one was a rusted mess needing some TLC. Removed all of the old radio parts to make room for the new electronics. The chrome moulding that wraps across the top & down the side was in good condition and will be reused.  Sanded, primed & painted this very cool deco almost spacey looking radio a  satin black color. Was able to clean and reuse the original multi-color plastic dial not perfect but again original. Made a new plexiglass dial cover. There were no knobs so I used 2 matching chrome ones from my inventory to match the mouldings. Nice looking now. The lines & overall shape make this a classic deco radio almost mid century modern. I like the contrast of the black with the chrome & dial. Added several pieces of flexible automotive chrome moulding across the bottom & 3 stripes in front of the speaker area. Used a piece of vintage speaker cloth to finish the look. Please review the pics. Made a new back panel. On the inside, I installed a new Bluetooth digital stereo hi-fi audio amplifier with 50 watts in addition to a big 5" Jensen Pro multi range speaker. Yes this classic is now a real boom box. This thing sounds great. Real good base. Installed the on/off/volume switch with the knob on the right. The other is fixed. All of the electronics are hard wired and secured to the inner supports insure a long life.  This is one of a kind Bluetooth speaker that is deco cool. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. There is a new electrical plug also. The 1941 Truetone deco radio converted to Bluetooth speaker measures 14.5" x 8." x 6.5" .Will look good, sound great and fit anywhere. Let know if you have any questions.
