    Description

    RARE SANTA FE RAILROAD SAFETY AWARD PLAQUE
    Description: Safety Award presented to: Illinois Division Mechanical Department for the year 1949-1950-1952-1953-1954-1955.
    An incredible piece of Railroad history. This may be the only one of its kind. Did it hang in an office or a maintenance facility?
    The plaque measures 14 1/2" tall and 11" wide. It also weighs almost 5 pounds.
    Condition: The plaque has only been wiped down with a damp cloth. Finish on wood has some fading. There might have been some
    gold gilding on the Safety part of the plaque (can't tell). There is also discoloration on the engraved portion. The plaque can probably be restored.
