Woman Finds Brilliant Way To Get Boyfriend Into Bar After He’s Denied Entry

When Lara Severino and her boyfriend Pat set out to visit a rooftop bar during their trip to Singapore, they almost had their plans derailed by a strict dress code. However, the couple came up with a clever workaround that not only saved their night but has also gained viral attention online.
In a video with 2.3 million views on TikTok, the couple from Australia shared how they decided to visit Lavo Bar, known for its stunning views of the Singapore skyline.
But its strict smart-casual dress code was a problem as Pat was still wearing the sports jersey he had been wearing during the day. When they were turned away, the couple got creative. Instead of giving up on their plans, the pair came up with a solution.
Severino had a spare crop top in her bag from earlier in the day and Pat suggested he wear it, while she changed back into her earlier outfit.
“It was all Pat’s idea. I had bought a shirt earlier in the day and changed into it, so my spare crop tee was in our backpack when we got turned away,” Severino told Newsweek. “We were about to leave when Pat suggested that he wear my new shirt, and I change back into my crop top. Luckily, they let us in.”
Pat’s bold move paid off, and the couple were able to enjoy Lavo Bar’s famous views on their last night in Singapore.
The video on TikTok was captioned: “Lavo Bar in Singapore has one of the best rooftop views in the city, and all you gotta do is buy a cocktail to enjoy it. But there’s a dress code…”
It quickly blew up on TikTok, with fans and viewers applauding Pat for pulling off the look.
“It actually looks so slay,” said Allira, while futstarzz3 wrote: “He wore it like a king.”
Other viewers even suggested that the couple buy another of the tops so they can wear matching outfits.
Severino, a full-time content creator, shared that the video was part of documenting her and Pat’s three-month backpacking journey through Southeast Asia.
“I’ve wanted to document our journey and what we get up to for our friends and family back home, along with my audience. I had no idea this random moment would blow up,” she said.
Viewers can’t get enough of the fashion-forward hack and Pat has become an unexpected style star online, all thanks to his girlfriend’s T-shirt.
